We were able to serve 127 people who came to the medical brigade. It was a hard day of work but such a blessing to share the love of Christ with the people.
We have been working on several projects on the property of the orphanage. We have tried to bless Jim and Georgia LaMont by helping them catch up on projects they have gotten behind on.
This is an incredibly beautiful place. Some of us have walked every morning and the sights are too amazing to describe.
I have had difficulties with the blog. I am going to try to send this one now to see if it works. I will share more later.

Honduras, here we are!
It is 11:00am in Honduras on Sunday. Tate Springs is just getting out of worship. We have been praying for you today.
We made our flight to Miami and then on to Honduras on Saturday. Five of us made it with NO LOST LUGGAGE!!! Thank you, Lord!
However, we did lose Dena Duncan. Well, not really. Dena's passport did not make it until Saturday morning so we had to change her flight from Saturday to Sunday. So we are anticipating her arrival sometime this afternoon.
It rained all through the night last night and with a tin roof it made for great sleeping. Not to mention that we were all exhausted from little sleep on Friday night and a long day of travel.
I put in a one and a half hour walk this morning. It is mountainous and very picturesque here.
This morning we played with the kids and sat with them in their Sunday School time. There are 29 kids in this orphanage. You can learn more about this ministry by going www.newlifehonduras.org.
This afternoon we are going to a local village and preach in a worship service. Telsa DeBerry, Pastor of Missions and Evangelism at Cornerstone is on this trip with us. He and I will be sharing preaching duties. Telsa and another member from Cornerstone, Martina (Tina) Gales, are a great blessing to our team. Tina is a native of Honduras and speaks the language great. I can't imagine being without her. She is a fantastic translator for us.
I hear great reports from the team that served in New Orleans on Operation NOAH. It sounds like the kids had a great experience and were able to accomplish much.
Thank you for your prayers. We appreciate the support and love of our family of faith.

day 2- later on
People have gone to get food for us and we're waiting for them to get back. we have cut and folded flashing for the roof and we also put studs in the wall for cabinets in the kitchen and a few other rooms. tonight we are going to go to the French Quarter for dinner and look around. none of us have gotten hurt yet, so everything seems to be going well and we have gotten quite a bit done.

Day Two (Cory, John, Dan, And I)
Today was very cool and breezy, I loved it after yesterday was so hot. Me and four other guys started building a doorway for the church. I passed them the wood and carried all the heavy equipment as they did all of the real work. I was upset but, then realized that I wasn't even supposed to be here so I was just thankful to get to come and serve God and the people from this church and help out. I am excited to find out what is in store for tomorrow.

Day Number 2 (The Kicker)
The morning started off pretty well, the girls finished putting weather protectors around the windows, quite enjoyable. Then, the afternoon came and not alot of people showed up. Because most groups left after lunch things are running a little slow-but we are pressing forward! I must admitt, feeling this disgusting after each day is over-isn't quite the cherry on top of things, but we are here for the right and good reason and its great to know that we are helping building a place that can be put to good use by good people to do good things. Well, its back to saws for me.

Operation Noah Day 2
We had a wonderful night getting to know each other. This is truly a blessed time to be with everyone. The youth are getting so many compliments on their hard work. They can't wait to start working once we get to the work site. Here are a few pictures of our first day.

shingle replacement
Mr. Arnold, Steven Arnold, Anthony Palomino, and Travis Wright volunteered to help repair the churches roof! At 7 am the guys started loading up shingle into the lift to hoist the shingles to the roof. After the shingles were moved to the roof the guys started the task of setting and nailing the shingles into place! The job was entertaining till breakfast, but upon there return the sun had risen and the combination of the sun, humidity, and the temperature soon made the job very exhausting. shortly before the lunch bell rang the guys took a well deserved break, but before they could leave for lunch they had to move more shingle upon the other part of the roof for tomorrow's roofing duty.

With Corey swinngin with the mighty 10 pound sledge at the bass and John pushing from up top they topled the pillar in a matter of minutes. Keep up the good work guys!

day 1
wow! it is really humid here. We have never sweat this much before =) but we are having a great time. We, the girls, have mainly been working with boards and nails (which is a sight to see!) we have gotten alot done though. We have truly experienced the power of prayer already. I cant wait to see what else God is going to do through us! We are not just building a church; we are changing lives.

day 1
Today we got our job assignments. We have put great effort into making this church feel like home when it is finished. The only downside is it is very humid and hot ,but we can handle it. We are sweaty, yuck, and stinky but as long as we are working here for God then we'll manage. We are blessed to be here in God's presence helping people in need. When you are used to a nice house with air conditioning , t.v., and other means of entertainment you realize when you get here how much you are blessed. God has put us in New Orleans here for a reason and we just have to be prepared to follow his command , if we want to or not.
